Ocean Organics® produces the Guarantee® product line of seaweed extracts and fertilizers. Hi K is a liquid seaweed extract with a high potassium content.

What makes Guarantee® products special?

They are derived from Ascophyllum nodosum, a type of cold-water North Atlantic seaweed — the hardiest plants on earth. Seaweed thrives under conditions that would destroy most other plants. It survives the stress of being submerged in cold salt water, drying out under the sun, cold (-10ºF) in winter, hot (100ºF) in summer. Naturally occurring carbohydrates, polysaccharides, organic acids, amino acids, growth hormones, and macro and micronutrients are produced by the kelp to help it tolerate stress and survive in its harsh environment. These same components are extracted from the cells of the kelp and made available to growers to manage the stresses encountered by the crops in their fields.

What makes Guarantee® Hi K such a high-quality seaweed product?

Many of the most beneficial and active ingredients in seaweed are damaged by most conventional processing methods. Guarantee® Hi K undergoes a proprietary extraction process that is the least destructive because it does not release seaweed particles into solution. A gentle catalyst causes the plant cells to release their contents into solution and then the solids are screened out leaving only the beneficial components listed in the previous paragraph.
